Renfrew FC say goodbye to three players
Renfrew FC has bid farewell to three of its players: Fraser Barbour, Aaron Chauhdry, and Fraser Sheridan.
At the close of a successful season, the club wanted to thank these players for their contributions. Fraser Barbour spent 10 years at Renfrew FC, celebrating a testimonial season with the club. He helped secure two league championships, won a Strathclyde Demolition Cup medal, and even played in the Premier League a few seasons ago. Over his time with the club, Fraser made 186 appearances and scored 5 goals. The club extends its heartfelt thanks and best wishes to him as he moves on.
Aaron Chauhdry joined the team at the beginning of the season and made 18 appearances, primarily coming off the bench. Due to an injury that kept him out for part of the season, Aaron is now looking for more regular playing time now that he is fully fit. For that reason, he has decided to leave the club.
Fraser Sheridan, another player who joined at the start of the season, played a key role in the team’s success by scoring 7 goals in 34 appearances – 27 of which were starts. Having recently welcomed a new baby and wishing to be closer to home, Fraser has signed on with Cumbernauld United.
Renfrew FC said: “We wish all the guys the very best of luck in what they do next and thank them for being a part of a successful squad. They’ll always be welcome at New Western Park.”
