Beith Juniors captain Paul Frize departs after 12 legendary years

Beith Juniors have confirmed that club captain Paul Frize has left the club, bringing an incredible 12-year spell to a close.

He has signed for Drumchapel FC.

Frize, who is 36-years-old has been a key figure for The Mighty, making 405 appearances, scoring 99 goals, and picking up his fair share of cards along the way. His time at the club has been filled with success, winning just about everything there is to win.

The club hailed him as a true legend, saying he will always be remembered for the commitment and passion he showed every time he pulled on the black and white jersey.

Frize started his career at Harmony Row YC from August 2008 to June 2011 before moving to Glasgow Perthshire F.C. from July 2011 until June 2013.

His first season at Beith Juniors came in 2013–14 where one of his most memorable moments came in an away cup game against Girvan. He came on in the last 5 minutes when Beith was down 2–1, he scored an equalizer to make it 2–2 and then struck a stunning winning goal to finish the game 3–2.

His best match that he played in was the WOS Cup Final between Glasgow Perthshire and Glenafton. Throughout his career, he has won numerous trophies, including the Scottish Junior Cup, WOS Premier Division, WOS Cup, Evening Times Cup, Ayrshire Cup, and WOSFL Premier Division, along with a title for Perthshire in the Central Division 1.

Beith Juniors expressed their gratitude, stating: “Thanks for everything Paul – it has been a wonderful 12 years with many amazing memories shared together. ” Good luck to you and your family for the future.”
