Darvel FC Shake-Up: New signings and departures
Darvel FC have been busy during with the club bolstering their squad and at the same time parting ways with a number of players.
The club was relegated to WoSFL Division One.
They welcomed several new players on free transfers as well as on loan deals. Among the fresh faces are experienced defenders and young talents.
Left‐back Nicky Docherty from Troon, left midfielder Ally Love from Hurlford United, and winger Aaron Black from Benburb have been signed permanently on free deals.
Other permanent signings include left‐back Cammy Williamson from Stranraer, centre‐forward Aiden Gilmartin from St. Mirren, and centre‐forward Steven Boyd, who joined as a free agent.
In addition, Darvel have added players on loan to inject youth and energy into the squad. Loan arrivals include left‐back Connor McGlinchey from Johnstone Burgh, centre‐back Archie Graham from Queen’s P. B, striker Sam Culbert from Livingston FC, defender Chris Neeson from Hamilton U20, and defender Arran Preston from Hamilton A. Reserves.
A number of players have been released or have seen their loan agreements come to an end.
Permanently leaving the club are experienced players such as centre‐back Daryll Meggatt, who has moved on to Dubai Irish FC, goalkeeper Andy Leishman who signed for Clydebank FC, and centre‐back Stephen Bronsky, who headed to Gartcairn FA. Other permanent exits include midfielder Dean Cairns, centre‐forward Jordan Moore, and centre‐back David Syme – all of whom have moved on on free transfers.
In addition, several players who had been signed on loan are now departing as their temporary deals conclude. These include players like Jordan Allan, Aaron Black, Connor McGlinchey, Archie Graham, Sam Culbert, Chris Neeson, and Arran Preston, who will return to their parent clubs.
