Johnstone Burgh strengthen squad with two new signings

Johnstone Burgh FC have added two new players to their squad with the signings of goalkeeper Evan Currie and defender Lewis King.

Manager Murdo Munro said he is pleased to welcome both players ahead of the new season. Evan joins from Vale of Leven, where he built a strong reputation as a reliable and talented goalkeeper. Murdo explained that having two strong goalkeepers is vital for creating competition and keeping the team in safe hands. He believes Evan will bring valuable experience, strength, and stability to the squad.

Meanwhile, Lewis King – known as “Kingy” – joins the club after a long-standing interest from the Burgh. The team had hoped to sign him last season and are now delighted to finally get him on board. Lewis is a versatile player who can play in multiple positions, mainly as a centre-back. He’s described as confident, commanding, and good on the ball.

Both players impressed during pre-season, and the club is confident they will be key assets in the season ahead. Everyone at Johnstone Burgh is excited to see them in action.
