Talbot hit seven as Glenafton edge five-goal thriller in Matchday 3

Auchinleck Talbot put on a stunning display as they thrashed St Cadoc’s 7–2 in the WOSFL Premier Division’s fourth matchday. Lewis Morrison opened the scoring in the 19th minute before Paul McKenzie struck twice, adding to further goals as Talbot ran riot. The visitors saw Liam McVey sent off in the final minute, while Talbot picked up three yellow cards.

Glenafton Athletic came out on top in a dramatic 3–2 victory over Arthurlie, thanks to a sensational hat-trick from Hugh Kerr. Arthurlie’s Kieran Healy scored twice, but the home side’s late winner in stoppage time sealed all three points.

Cumnock Juniors claimed a narrow 1–0 win away to Kilwinning Rangers, while Hurlford United earned a 3–1 victory at Largs Thistle with goals from Lewis Morrison and Paul McKenzie (2). Largs finished with ten men after Liam McVey’s late red card.

Drumchapel United were comfortable 4–0 winners away to Renfrew, with David Hopkirk opening the scoring from the penalty spot before Paul Frize, Lewis McTaggart, and Bradley Rodden all found the net.

Pollok edged Rutherglen Glencairn 2–1 in a tense contest. Godspower Oguama gave Pollok an early lead, Ryan Carlin equalised, but Bob McHugh struck deep into stoppage time to secure the win for the visitors, despite Jack Walsh’s late red card.

In the day’s other match, Troon continued their strong start to the season with a 1–0 home win over Beith Juniors, courtesy of Lewis Lovering’s first-half strike.
