CUP FINAL: Where to watch the final live in Paisley and where to party afterwards
St Mirren supporters looking to watch Sunday’s League Cup Final in Paisley do have options, despite the match being shown on Premier Sports, which limits how many pubs can screen it.
A number of venues across Paisley – and nearby Johnstone – have confirmed they will be showing the game live, while several after-parties are planned once the final whistle blows.
In Paisley town centre, The Bank House on Gilmour Street has confirmed it will be showing St Mirren v Celtic live, with an after-party running until 1am. The Northern Way on Causeyside Street is also advertising live coverage of the final, as is The Wee Howff on High Street, which is promoting a warm, cosy atmosphere for supporters without tickets.
The Abbey Inn on Barrhead Road has confirmed it will be showing the match and is operating a table booking system, with supporters advised to book in advance. The Club Bar on Moss Street and De Beers on High Street have also confirmed they will be showing the final live.
Outside Paisley, two nearby Johnstone venues are advertising coverage. The Thornhill Inn on Thornhill and Colliers Bar on High Street have both confirmed they will be showing the game, with Colliers also offering free pies and Bovril during the match.
Once the match is over, several venues are hosting dedicated after-parties for St Mirren supporters. Venue Paisley on Wellmeadow Street is hosting a free-entry St Mirren League Cup Final afterparty from 5pm until 1am, featuring live music and DJ sets from Jamie King McArthur. The event is running win, lose or draw, with children allowed in until 10pm.
The Bungalow in Paisley is also hosting a free after-party from 6pm, with live music from Give Way Band, while Vienna’s & Blur on New Street is holding a ticketed Cup Final after-party, with tickets available via Skiddle and giveaways on the night, including a brewery tour from Two Towns Down Brewing.
With the final live on Premier Sports, supporters are advised to arrive early at venues showing the game, particularly where booking systems are in place. While options to watch the match are limited, Paisley will still have plenty going on once the football is finished, regardless of the result.
