Renfrewshire clubs in cup and league action as St Mirren match is postponed
A busy Saturday of football is in store for clubs across Renfrewshire, with cup ties and league action on the schedule — though one top-flight match has fallen victim to the weather.
In the West of Scotland League Cup fourth round, Johnstone Burgh travel to face St Roch’s, while Thorn Athletic have home advantage against Lesmahagow Juniors.
League action also features prominently. Renfrew are on the road in the WoSFL Premier Division, heading to Ayrshire to take on Kilwinning Rangers.
In the Third Division, Paisley side Glenvale are in action at Ferguslie Park Sports Centre, where they will face Finnart.
Fourth Division fixtures see St Peters hosting Rossvale at New Western Park in Renfrew.
In the Scottish Premiership, St Mirren were due to travel north to face Dundee United, but that match has been postponed following a morning pitch inspection.
A St Mirren spokesperson said: “Following an inspection of the playing surface at Tannadice this morning, our William Hill Premiership clash away to Dundee United has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. Details on the amended fixture will be announced in due course.”
