Largs Thistle claimed all three points in a dramatic 3–2 win over St Cadoc’s at New Tinto Park on Saturday, with David Ramsay netting a late winner in a match that had goals, a red card, and a swing in momentum.

St Cadoc’s started strongly and took the lead on 31 minutes when Steven Boyd tapped home from a Pearse McGarvey free-kick. Largs grew into the game and levelled shortly before the break, with Lewis Davidson converting in the 42nd minute to make it 1–1 at half-time.

Largs came out flying after the restart and turned the game around just a minute into the second half. Liam Lapsley broke down the wing and scored in the 46th minute, putting the visitors 2–1 up.

St Cadoc’s responded on the hour mark when Junior McQuilken netted to bring the game back to 2–2 with 60 minutes on the clock.

The match turned again late on. With ten minutes to play, David Ramsay struck in the 80th minute to put Largs back in front. St Cadoc’s hopes of another comeback were dealt a major blow when first-half scorer Steven Boyd was sent off in the 82nd minute, reducing the home side to ten men. An injury minutes later left them effectively playing with nine.

Largs saw out the closing stages to secure a vital away win in the West of Scotland Premier Division.
