Celtic, Rangers and Aberdeen learn European opponents
Celtic, Rangers and Aberdeen have discovered who they’ll face in the group stage of European competition this season.
Celtic and Rangers will both line up in the Europa League, while Aberdeen take part in the Conference League.
Celtic’s schedule sees them begin at home to Roma before travelling to the Netherlands to face Feyenoord. They then return to Glasgow to host Braga, followed by a trip to Red Star Belgrade. Their final four games include home ties against Sturm Graz and Utrecht, with away visits to Midtjylland and Bologna.
Rangers also start with a glamour home match against Roma before heading to Portugal to play Porto. They welcome Braga to Ibrox and then travel to Hungary to meet Ferencvaros. Back-to-back games follow against Ludogorets at home and Sturm Graz away, before they round off their group with a home clash against Genk and a trip to Norway to take on Brann.
Aberdeen, competing in the Conference League, begin their campaign at Pittodrie against Shakhtar Donetsk before travelling to Prague to face Sparta. Their next home fixture is against Strasbourg, with an away match against AEK Athens to follow. The Dons then take on Armenian side FC Noah in Aberdeen, travel to Cyprus to face AEK Larnaca, and close out their group campaign with what could be a decisive fixture.
Fixture dates are expected to be confirmed over the weekend.
