South Region Challenge Cup 2025/2026 Round 3
Cowdenbeath are into the fourth round of the South Challenge Cup after a solid 3–0 win over Kennoway Star Hearts at Central Park.

They were on the front foot early with Zac Tomany forcing a save, and Jack Denham heading just over from a corner. The opener came after 19 minutes when Max Williamson crossed from the left and Stuart McDowell finished from close range.

Just before half-time it went to 2–0 when a Sam Newman cross was turned into his own net by Kennoway’s Finlay Hall. Early in the second half, Bryan Mwangi put a ball into the box and Denham headed in the third.

Kennoway had a couple of half chances and got a late penalty, but Lewis Haldane saved Mitchell Sharp’s effort to keep the clean sheet.

Cowdenbeath looked comfortable throughout and could have scored more, with efforts from subs Rhys Walker and Dylan Mauchin going close. The result gives them a boost and a place in the next round.
