St Mirren reach League Cup final after win over Motherwell

St Mirren have booked their place in the League Cup final for the first time since 2013 after a 4-1 win over Motherwell at Hampden Park on Saturday evening.

Mikael Mandron opened the scoring before Dan Nlundulu added a superb second from distance to give Stephen Robinson’s side a 2-0 half-time lead.

Motherwell substitute Callum Hendry pulled one back late on, but goals from Richard King and Mandron – his second of the match – sealed the victory for the Paisley side.

St Mirren will now face either Celtic or Rangers in the final on 14th December.
