St Mirren booked their place in the Premier Sports Cup semi-finals after a dramatic penalty shootout win over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park. Mikael Mandron gave the Buddies the lead with a superb first-half finish before Robbie Deas headed Killie level.
Jayden Richardson restored St Mirren’s advantage with a stunning volley, only for Bruce Anderson’s late penalty to force extra time. With the tie still level after 120 minutes, the shootout went to sudden death. Kyle Magennis missed for Kilmarnock, leaving Malik Dijksteel to calmly slot home the decisive spot-kick and seal St Mirren’s return to Hampden for the November semi-finals.
