St Mirren secured a 2-1 win at Forfar Athletic in Premier Sports Cup Group D, earning their first win of the season. Jayden Richardson struck in the ninth minute, and substitute Mikael Mandron added a second with 15 minutes left.
Forfar’s Kieran Inglis pulled one back with a 25-yard effort in the final ten minutes, but Peter Urminsky’s late save preserved the victory. Manager Stephen Robinson made four changes from the Arbroath draw, handing starts to Oisin Smyth, Alex Iacovitti, Conor McMenamin, and Jonah Ayunga.
