Beith Juniors cruised to a 4–1 victory over Rutherglen Glencairn at Bellsdale Park on 6th September, with three first-half goals setting the tone for a comfortable win.
After a controlled opening spell, Beith made the breakthrough on 33 minutes when Liam McGonigle finished from a Max Brown assist. Just two minutes later, they doubled their lead as Thomas Collins struck following good work from Ross Smith.
Collins added his second of the afternoon from the penalty spot in the 38th minute, after McGonigle was involved again in the buildup, putting the hosts firmly in control at 3–0.
Glencairn pulled one back just before the interval when Joshua Campbell curled in a free-kick on 44 minutes, giving the visitors a lifeline at half-time.
Beith maintained control after the restart and restored their three-goal cushion on 70 minutes. Ross Smith got himself on the scoresheet, finishing off a move created by Aidan Laverty to make it 4–1.
