Nine players depart Cumnock Juniors as their contracts expire, including club captain
Cumnock Juniors Football Club has confirmed that nine players will be leaving the team as their contracts come to an end.
The departures include this season’s captain, Jamie Wilson. Jamie signed with the club in 2021 and played a key role in the midfield over the past four seasons. He was also part of the Scottish Cup winning side in 2023, and his contributions have become an important part of the club’s history.
Goalkeeper and coach Adam Strain is also leaving. Adam joined during the 2021/22 season and made 122 appearances for the club. His experience was equally valuable on the field and in a coaching role, and he too played his part in the Scottish Cup win.
In addition, the departures include Stefan McCluskey, Creag Little, Josh Jack, and Joe McKee, whose contracts have also finished.
Loan spells have ended for Jamie Hislop, who will return to Ayr United FC, and for Duncan Barlow and Sam Duruh, who are returning to Kilmarnock Football Club.
Cumnock Juniors have thanked all the players moving on and wished them every success in the future.
